Unfortunately, no. Damage to a tyre’s sidewall that cannot be safely repaired because it compromises the structural integrity of the tyre. If your sidewall is cut, cracked, or punctured, the tyre will need to be replaced. We can help you find a suitable replacement tyre to ensure your vehicle remains safe.

It depends on usage and the type of tyre. Many commercial truck tyres can last around 4 to 5 years or roughly 100,000 to 400,000 km, whereas passenger car tyres often last about 40,000 to 60,000 km (around 4 to 5 years) under normal driving conditions. We recommend checking your tyre tread depth regularly and replacing tyres once the tread is worn down to the legal minimum (approximately 1.6 mm for car tyres, 1.8 mm for truck tyres) or if the tyres are over 5 years old. Our team can inspect your tyres and advise you on their condition.

We generally recommend replacing tyres in pairs (both tyres on the same axle) for balanced handling and safety. Replacing only one tyre can lead to uneven traction or stability if the opposite tyre on that axle is significantly worn. In vehicles with dual rear tyres, it’s best to replace both tyres in the dual set together. We can assess your remaining tyres and advise whether a single tyre replacement is acceptable or if multiple tyres should be changed.

Any repair our technicians perform is a proper, permanent repair. When we fix a puncture (whether at our workshop or by our mobile unit), we patch and seal it from the inside according to industry standards, so you can continue using the tyre safely. Temporary emergency fixes like aerosol sealants or DIY plug kits are not permanent, but if we ever have to use a temporary solution to get you moving, we’ll advise you to visit us for a full repair as soon as possible. If a tyre cannot be safely repaired, we will recommend replacing it.
